• South African citizen

• In possession of a Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

• Proficient in at least two official languages, one of which must be English

• No criminal record or pending criminal or departmental cases

• Computer literate

• Valid light motor vehicle driver’s licence

• Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

• Analytical and self-management skills

• Report writing, presentation, and development skills

• Willingness to travel extensively and attend training when required

• No visible tattoos when wearing SAPS uniform

• Willingness to undergo vetting, security screening, and fingerprint verification

Additional Requirements

To qualify for the SAPS Social Workers posts, applicants must also have:

• An applicable three-year Degree in Social Work, SAQA-accredited at NQF Level 7 or higher

• Current registration as a Social Worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) for the 2024/2025 financial year, with proof

• Experience in facilitation and presentations

• Supervision or management experience (advantageous)
